How Do I Set Up Subdomain & .mobi redirects?

mShoppper Recommends Against Masking

mShopper works hard to optimize your mStores for search engines, such as Google, enhancing SEO results. A masked site can appear as two sites with mirrored content and that can cause the search engine to lower the relevance of the site.  This, combined with our already excellent ranking of the mshopper.net domain, is one of the main reasons that we would recommend against a merchant masking.  More information is available from Google.

In addition, on almost all smartphones, the URL bar is automatically hidden from the user, causing them to rarely see the actual URL.

More Helpful Notes On Forwarding

Forwarding and Masking are dependent on your Domain Name registrant (DNS provider).  Your IT organization should be able to provide this service to forward the domain to <merchant_name>.mshopper.net (mStore URL).  Work with your DNS provider to setup forwarding correctly. For reference, here is documentation from GoDaddy: http://help.godaddy.com/article/42

If Masking is required, mShopper Will Help You

Since your mStore requires Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for the transmission of secure information from your buyer, this requires the merchant to obtain (create and purchase) a SSL certificate for your masked domain that mShopper will then install on our secure servers.  This requires additional setup and configuration time.  If you choose that Masking is required, mShopper can set this up for a small fee.  We will need a copy of your SSL certificate for the domain you want to mask and we will install that on our site to prevent users from getting security warnings when accessing the secure pages.
